That scrappy sound reminds of a wallet slide.
Is it just mine, or is there some sort of extra lowness that you might not have meant in the beginning-ish area?
This song is relaxing...but at the same time the MIDI is killing all the animals in the forest. Did it just end? I Wasn'treadyforittoend

Oh, I keep waiting for the band to come in...
1:35 there is a trumpet...
a bit GM midi sounding but those samples could always be traded out which is okay, perhaps a bit of reverb to fill out the space?

This has a soothing feeling, but it does end somewhat abruptly, leaving me hanging.... hanging... Over all, though, I like the melody and the choice of instruments.

Yeah, I'm with WhyTheFuq. Though there is a lot of space, maybe that is the statement being made. Simplicty. With that said, I'm with dsindel where the trumpet could be switched for richer samples. Really, its all good. Keep it up I enjoyed it.
